Arrival & Dismissal Policies

Monty Lane: A safety lane called "Monty Lane" exists for student drop-off and pick-up. Be aware of traffic signs posted, law enforcement are in the area often.  Please pull up as far forward as you can in the safety lane when dropping off or picking up your child(ren). Children are to enter and exit cars from the passenger side only.  When picking up your child, if you don't see your student, drive around the block and try again.  Safety volunteers will help direct traffic, please give these volunteers your courtesy and respect.

Drop Off: Kindergarten students begin their day at 8:10 a.m., they may come on campus at 8:00 a.m. and line up. Students in grades 1-6 begin their day at 8:10 a.m., they may come on campus at 7:55 a.m. and line up on the lower playground. Students who walk to school must use crosswalks at Rosemont and El Adobe. There are crossing guards at both of these locations for student safety.

Dismissal: Your child should go directly home at the conclusion of the school day. If you are unable to pick up your child on time, please advise him/her to go to the school office for help. If you have an emergency, please notify the office so they can be on the lookout for your child. Unfortunately, if you call the office after dismissal time, the office does not have the means to get a message to your child who might be waiting on the sidewalk.  Students in grades 1-3 are dismissed at 2:15 p.m.

Early Dismissal Wednesday (Banking Day): There is an early dismissal every Wednesday to provide for planning and training of the staff. Supervision for the banking hour is available for a fee from the RAP afterschool program, call (818) 957-5845 for information.
